I wanted to post another picture of the deck, so you can see the “snow” during the daylight. The ice on the roads was pretty intense today with a 29 car pile-up in the AM, my mom’s car being hit (don’t worry it’s fine), and me sliding on a sheet of ice. Schools across Metro were canceled making today the first SNOW DAY of 2010.

Snow in Atlanta. They talked all day about the weather being terrible, so I left work early and canceled my ESL class. As usual, the weather was not that bad and the snow didn’t really start until about 8pm.

Slow day today because I woke up late and had work. When I got home, I spent a good hour in the kitchen with my mom and sister. The photo came out really bright and unfocused, but I kind of like it.

I spent the first half of the early morning spending a lot of time talking to my mom. It was a good heart-to-heart moment, but it lasted so long that I slept through most of the rest of the day. The definite highlight/the only I did was make a lunch of seared scallops and steamed asparagus. I think it came out pretty good.

Bianca and I took Kal on a trip to a restaurant for lunch. Of course, Folks was the destination because we can’t get enough of those peach muffins. ;) We were worried that he would act like a complete fool, but he actually was (relatively) well-behaved. It was definitely a fun day out even though it was very cold. 28 degrees!

I shimmed and shaked into 2010 with a lot of new faces at a party in the GoodWyn condo complex. The party was not the wild and crazy variety of my past, but it is about time that I show a little maturity. My older brother invited me along, so it was a bunch of 29+ people. The beginning of the night was very awkward with the whole not knowing anyone thing. However, I definitely warmed up to a lot of the party goers and you know alcohol always helps.
